Privacy policy

Draft. Requires legal review and the controller’s details before launch.

1. Controller

The controller is the entity operating this site. Registration details and a contact address will be added before publication.

2. What data we collect

3. Cookies

The site sets no first-party tracking cookies. On entry pages a Google AdSense advertising script loads, and Google stores cookies and advertising identifiers in your browser. We turn on personalised ads only with your consent, given in the consent message of the ad provider. Without consent Google shows non-personalised, contextual ads, matched to the page rather than to your history.

You can turn off Google ad personalisation in your Google account settings, under My Ad Center at adssettings.google.com (the “Personalised ads” option). Ads will still appear, but they will not be selected on the basis of your earlier activity. Independently of that, third-party cookies can be blocked in your browser settings.

4. Google as an independent controller

Ads are served by Google. To the extent that Google independently decides on the purpose and means of processing the data collected by its cookies and advertising technologies, the separate controller is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. We are not a joint controller for that data, and we have no insight into what Google collects as part of advertising.

Google uses advertising cookies, among other things to limit how often an ad is shown, to measure its effectiveness, and to select ads based on earlier visits to this and other sites. Details are in the Google Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy and in the information about how Google uses data from partner sites. Consent to personalised advertising can be withdrawn at any time in your Google account settings, under My Ad Center at adssettings.google.com.

If ads are not enabled for you at a given moment because you have not accepted the consent message, the site works normally and the entry content is unchanged.

5. Who we share data with

Technical data in server logs are processed by our hosting provider, Hostinger International Ltd, as our processor, solely to run and secure the site.

Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, the provider of Google AdSense ads and of the cookie consent system. Google processes data about your browser and advertising identifiers as a separate controller for its own advertising purposes, under its own privacy policy. Some of that data may be processed outside the European Economic Area under standard contractual clauses.

6. Legal bases and your rights

Technical data are processed on the basis of the controller’s legitimate interest (site security). You have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict processing, to object, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

7. Generated content

Definitions may be drafted with AI tools. The site editors are responsible for the content, and each entry states its status and verification date in the footer. Details are on the About page.
