These terms govern use of the dictionary service available at this domain, including its entries, search and informational pages.

2. Nature of the content

The service is informational. Definitions describe language usage and are not legal, medical or financial advice. Entries marked as drafts may contain errors and are not indexed.

3. AI-assisted content

Some definitions are drafted with AI tools. The site editors, not the tool vendor, are responsible for the content. Each entry footer states its status, verification date and full list of sources, and entries awaiting editorial review say so explicitly.

4. Copyright

The site’s content, definitions, examples, descriptions, is protected by copyright. Copying it in whole or in substantial part without permission is not allowed. Short quotations with attribution and a link are permitted.

5. Liability

The editors take care to keep content correct and fix reported errors. They are not liable for the consequences of decisions taken solely on the basis of this site.
